Harlon has been tormented since childhood by visions of the white rabbit his father forced him to kill while hunting as a young boy. Now a bullied teenager, Harlon's undiagnosed mental illness is getting worse. He begins to hear voices and imagines the characters in his dark comic books are speaking to him.
