Since Pepote lost his parents he lives with his uncle Jacinto, a retired novillero from the bullfighting business. Although they are so poor and must earn they living each day, they are truly fond of each other. While they go around looking for a cent Pepote, a smart and alert child, meets all sorts of people and occupations.
