A meeting takes place between an emir of an unspecified Middle Eastern nation, and Western diplomats of an unspecified country or countries. The emir presents the edited terms of an agreement he is ready to sign, but has rejected changes to "Clause Five." The Westerners refuse unless Clause Five is changed, and the emir storms out without having signed it, telling them they have lost a friend. One Westerner tells another that this was expected, so they will now execute "Plan One."Agent Benson arrives in a diplomatic building and receives his orders to execute what may be a suicide mission. If he is caught, he'll get no support from the agency, which he accepts in good nature as standard procedure. He arrives in a Mediterranean city at a hotel and meets agent Lorna. They make love in his room and she says she is angry about being left alone on their previous mission in Paris. A flashback plays in which they arrive Paris and contemplate leaving the agency (still unspecified) in the back of a taxi. But suddenly, their taxi driver pulls a gun and kidnaps them. He takes them under a bridge where he summons other thugs with guns to be taught a lesson by someone Benson has crossed in the past. Benson tells Lorna to run while he manages to subdue all the thugs one by one in a fistfight. Lorna has already run and jumped into the water and swam away, so Benson gets in the taxi and drives off. The flashback ends.Benson and Lorna go back to the hotel lobby and exchange pass phrases with the other agents, Paul, Hanson, and Chris. They set off on a boat ride. Meanwhile, enemy agents pursuing them, wearing white hats and brandishing handguns, show up at the hotel looking for Benson and Lorna, and threaten the hotel staff, who know nothing. On the boat, Lorna jumps into the water and swims to shore at a desert coast. When she gets out, she takes off her wet clothes, exposing her breasts, and runs in her panties up to the rendezvous point with the final member of the team, Louis. Benson explains that this is a tactic to flush out any Arabs who might ambush them, as they wouldn't be able to resist her.Getting the all clear, the other members of the boat rejoin her, and then a group of Arabs with guns shows up and captures the team. A couple members joke that perhaps they could resist Lorna's nude body because they are homosexuals. The team members lash out and fight their captors until they are all knocked unconscious and take their guns. Lorna puts her clothes back on.They meet up with Louis in a desert truck and drive all day towards an oasis. Nearing it, Benson insists they bury their weapons in case they are captured. Some members ask him what their mission is, but he won't say. Once they finish burying their weapons, a group of Bedouin Arabs on horses and camels with guns find them and insist they are trespassing and must be punished. The team insist they are tourists, but the Bedouin do not believe them. The team are taken back to their leader's tent, bound, and the leader is enamored with Lorna. He takes her to his tent and says her friends will be safe if she pleasures him. She says her people do not believe in doing favors for safety, but pleasures him anyway, then kills him with his own dagger. His death cry draws some of his men to check on him, but when they open his tent flap, Lorna pretends to be making love to him, and they leave. His men outside make small talk about raping Lorna when their chief is done with her, or if not her, at least the men, particularly Chris.Meanwhile Benson has worked his way out of his ropes and freed the rest of the team. He says they have to complete the mission at all costs and leave Lorna behind, so they flee, but he has a change of heart and returns to rescue Lorna, finding her already having gotten out of the Bedouin camp. She has accidentally set fire to the chief's tent, and all of his men are now after them. They quickly make it back to the buried weapons and unearth them, using them to kill or fend off most of the Bedouin. Realizing they are still outnumbered, they quickly drive the rest of the way to the oasis. There, Benson tells them their mission: they are to blow up an oil refinery. They sneak in and plant explosives. As it blows up, the refinery guards pursue them and gun down everyone but Benson, who sees Lorna die but himself escapes. In the next scene, Benson is recounting the tragic end of his mission to the man who originally tasked him with it, saying that only he escaped, "by some miracle." He shows sadness over the death of his team.Benson leaves the building. Outside, on the street, he is in a crosswalk. A car drives past and gunshots ring out. Benson turns to the car with the gunman, then falls dead in the street, his previous task masker explaining in a voiceover that the "dead can not speak." |
