3 high school students, all having problems with North Salem (Oregon) School Board due to ignorance and prejudice driving it, meet and start Speech and Debate club (minimum 3 members) as an outlet to their frustrations. Diwata sees the plays in school drama be censored by the board. Solomon sees his articles for the school paper be rejected due to censorship. Howie, a new student at the school, wants to start a gay club like in many other high schools but 3 of 5 board members reject it. They'll find out at a competition in Portland, if the club brings more than the 3 together as friends.—Scott Filtenborg
