During a family dinner, Iris (29) receives the news from her father Jan (74) that he's had enough of life and that he wants it to come to an end. The absurd news is like a punch to the gut; Iris didn't see it coming at all. As the set date approaches and Iris is reaching breaking point, she decides to go off-script. She takes a leave of absence, moves in with Jan without asking him and tries to strong-arm him into answering the one question that matters to her: why? When no satisfying answer seems to be forthcoming, she searches for a way to deal with her father's last wish.
