58-year-old Maghrebi cleaning woman Khadija (Saadia Bentaïeb) falls asleep on the last train home after a long evening at work. She awakens at the end of the line and has little choice but to make her way home on foot as Brussels sleeps, which gives Khadija a unique opportunity to become intimately acquainted with the beauty of the city she calls home.
