What we do in PSA is transcoding. I never apply any kind of video/audio filter/effect on my encodings. So, if you see it’s a bit dark or not sharp enought, it’s the source’s, not the encode. In this particular encode’s case, I used CRF 18 which is very good along with my own encoding rules, but the quality may not surprise you. Even if you watch the original BluRay, it would be the same.
